User Studies
A User Study puts your Personas in front of your product and reports how they react. It’s qualitative research without the recruiting: Marketrix runs simulations as your personas and gathers their reactions, scoped to the Application you’re working in.
User Study is an umbrella over three study types:
- UX Research — Personas perform neutral tasks in your app while Marketrix gathers their verdicts on the research questions you ask. Use it to learn where users feel clear and in control versus confused or hesitant.
- A/B Test — Personas experience your variants, and each one returns a binary outcome — whether they converted, and where the decision point was reached. Use it to compare two directions.
- Survey — Personas fill out a form you define, answering each question in character with a short justification. Use it to collect structured, per-persona answers at scale.
User Studies live under UX Research → User Studies, and every type shares the same run model.
Creating a study
Section titled “Creating a study”Each type has a short guided create flow. You pick the personas to study, describe what you want to learn (or define the form, for a Survey), and optionally attach context for Marketrix to ground its work in — a file you upload, existing Knowledge, your prior Simulations, or AI-suggested new Simulations. Reusing existing simulations is cheaper on quota; running new ones tends to produce better-grounded results.
Runs and results
Section titled “Runs and results”Each time you run a study it produces a run, and a study keeps its run history so you can compare results over time. A run moves through a shared lifecycle — running → synthesizing → completed — and produces a per-persona Persona Reaction for every simulation, with the type-specific output layered on top: research-question verdicts for UX Research, a binary outcome for an A/B Test, and form answers for a Survey.
A study opens to its latest run. From there you can:
- Switch runs — Compare the current run against earlier runs of the same study.
- Read per-persona results — See each persona’s reactions and the type-specific output.
- Replay — When a run used Simulations, follow the linked simulation replays and the specific moments tied to a persona’s reaction. Studies with running simulations open straight into live replay so you can watch progress while the run finishes.
- Export a report — Generate a PDF of a completed run.
